During chest compressions, the mannequin's chest also yields under the correct pressure, allowing the conditions of resuscitation to be simulated and practised. Much more advanced mannequins and training devices are also used for training purposes in emergency medical services training. Among other things, these can simulate a pulse and enable much more comprehensive training.
