Information about electrode gel / contact gel
Due to its very high electrical conductivity, the electrode gel enables interference-free transmission of electrical impulses into the body despite the resistance at the skin surface. At the same time, it serves as a skin-friendly lubricant and acts as a protective layer between the electrodes and the skin, counteracting possible irritation.
Properties of contact gel
The contact gel offered is hypoallergenic, has a pH value between 5.5 and 6, and is gentle on the skin even during prolonged use. The gel is also non-greasy and leaves no stains on the skin or clothing. As an electrode gel, it offers optimal conductivity for ECG and EEG examinations, EMG muscle training, TENS devices or chest straps, as well as for defibrillation and incontinence therapies using electrolyte.
